I have a Dell Dimension 8100 that was supplied with Windows Millennium as the OS. It also came with a Dazzle Mojave A1 video capture device and MGI VideoWave4 software. The Millennium OS became unstable and I replaced it with Windows XP. The Dazzle Mojave and the VideoWave4 still seem to work, but I find VideoWave awkward to use. However, I get an error message that the device is in use when I attempt to use the Mojave with WMM. Apparently the Mojave device is outdated, although I only bought the system less than three years ago. When I try the web address, I wind up with someone named Pinnacle Systems.
Even though they have a Dazzle* button on their website, they seem to never have heard of the Mojave A1 device and attempts to decipher how to contact them and ask one simple question have been like trying to translate Sanskrit. Anybody out there had any experience with a similar problem?
Thanks for the response and I will try the path you suggest. I loaded the new Codec from Indeo (haven't a clue what it is or who they are) and I can use VW4 and the Mojave together with only a sporadic error during capture indicating that a 'copy protect' signal has been encountered and capture interrupted; this may be real or an artifact of the other problems, and I don't have a clue which. I have given up on VW4 and am now trying to get the Mojave to work with the WMM video editor supplied with XP. The error I continue to get is that the Mojave device is in use by another program, even though I had uninstalled VW4 and was running nothing but WMM.
Curiouser and curiouser! Does anybody know how to get information from either MGI on VW4 or Pinnacle Systems on the Dazzle Mojave A1? Hi again Don't give up just yet. Try the file I suggested and see if your editing system will work. After all VW4 is a nice and understandable program, which is perfect for beginners.
The problem with the package Video Studio II (Dazzle Mojave A1 and Video Wave 4) delivered with Dell is that the package is specifically made for DELL and neither the hardware nor the software VW4 are supported by the original manufacturers. I downloaded a patch for VW4 a couple of years ago, but got the message that patch did not work with the VW4 bundled with Dell computers.
I have gone over to use a digital video camera, which can be connected to a fire wire card. However, I still have some analogue video that has to be transferred to the computer and I am searching for a new 'independent' capture device (for instance Dazzle Digital Video Creator 80) to get rid of the present problems. I am trying to find a store from where I can by it here in Sweden. Look here for more details: I don't know if VW4 works with this device, but quite complex video editing programs are quite cheep today.
Hey everyone. I'm sure someone out there has heard of the infamous Dell Movie Studio II hardware. Well, I'm on a mission. You see, this capture card is pretty damn good. It has full capabilities of direct MPEG-2 encoding to my computer for capturing any composite device.
What I want to do is capture movies from VCRs and me playing HALO 2! Anyway, I've looked around and read everything there is on this subject. Unfortunately, it seems no one has had any luck. I ran the diagnostics test on this thing and it worked - I have my XBox plugged into the Break-Out Box (BOB) and a set of composite cable connected to my TV. I ran the A/V output test and voila!
The Roads To Sata Pdf Download. Halo appeared on my TV screen, no problem. That means I KNOW that the computer can handle the signal and control the breakout box/capture card to enable the signal to pass to the output composite cables as well.
This is good. Here is my entire diagnostics test.
A few things failed, and only hardware issues. Those are the worst, are they not? I've been reading everywhere that capturing only works with MGI VideoWave 4, which I personally know is horrible and inefficient software.
I want to use my Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5 to capture and edit. Just wondering if anyone knows how to do this!
I read somewhere about a VFW wrapper? ANY info is great!
