I've got an ASUS laptop F3Jseries with an Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG network adaptor. I've just installed Windows 7 on the laptop but it isn't able to connect wirelessly to my home router. When I was installing Windows 7 and it requested wireless information it could even pick up whether the passcode for the wireless was correct (if I entered in the wrong one it came up telling me so, if I entered in the right one it moved onto a different error) - it just couldn't connect. Now that Windows 7 is installed, it picks up the networks in my area and can see them and tell me their signal strength but cannot connect to them.

Uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling them didn't work. However, changing the wireless security did. When I removed the security I was able to connect without difficulty. Adding the security back caused it to block me out again. So I instead got rid of the WEP encryption that was there by default and used WPA-PSK authentication with a different encryption. This worked and my laptop is connecting without any issues! So for anyone having a similar problem to mine, try changing the security settings on your router.
