I do, however, have a patch for Ios 56, but I can't install it with WAD manager (running version 1.7). If you were unable to install bootmii as boot2, or you just want to block updates and other things, I'd suggest installing priiloader; Now, if whichever guide you used to soft-mod didn't have you do it already, you'll need to patch IOS36; After that, you'll be able to install your cIOS; And here is the latest version of WAD Manager (Has some kickin' FF3 battle music too!:D); You should be able to install your WAD now.
You shouldn't have to use 56 to install Rumble, I don't recall having to. Just use 249 to install, and if that doesn't work you can try some others.
