Scott, you didn't overlook anything. SuSE does *NOT* ship the MS fonts on the installation media (CD/DVD) just like SuSE does NOT ship any other non-GPL/binary only Software. Therefore you simply can not install those through the normal YAST software install. However SuSE offers the MS Fonts and other non-GPL binary only Software (e.g. NVIDA driver) through the YAST Online Update (YOU).
